Consignment Mystery Series
Reagan Summerside here. I just opened my consignment shop. Consignment shopping is the fun of wearing designer clothes on the cheap.
For years I shopped consignment stores and now that I need money to pay bills on my partially-restored Victorian, decided I’d resell all those Hollis clothes I no long need an open a consignment shop of my very own here in Savannah, the Prissy Fox.
Don’t you love the name Prissy Fox! Auntie KiKi came up wth the name and she also helps me run the place so I can go out and find who murdered my ex’s Cupcake.
And why would I do that when I’d rather see the philandering jerk rot in jail for all eternity? Because if I don’t find the real killer Hollis will sell my beloved Victorian to pay legal fees to that jackass, Walker Boone, to get him off.
Now why would I think Walker Boone is jackass, because he’s the one who took me to the cleaners in my divorce from my ex. So many totally crappy guys in my life!
But I do like running the Prissy Fox. Consignment shopping is a lot like solving a mystery. It’s all about the hunt for the perfect scarf, skirt or shoes. I think that’s why mystery and the Consignment: Murder series seemed like a perfect fit. The hunt is on!
So what about you? What stores in your neck of the woods do you shop for deals? Is there one deal that was your all-time best score that you still have bragging rights on?
I’ll give away three Iced Chiffon totes from the answers. After all, free is the best score ever, right!
Off to feed Bruce Willis...the other Bruce Willis. He says "howdy."

And if you want to personalize something from a consignment store, add crystals, beads, and sequins!
ReplyDeleteHi, Duffy! There's a great consignment shop in my town called "One More Time." I take stuff there to sell, but I rarely walk out the door without buying more than I brought in!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite consignment shop purchase is a tunic-length black sweater that is beautifully embroidered with fall wildflowers. It looks great and keeps me warm all winter.
Edna, that is a great idea. I need to do that more. I usually toss on a scarf. Scarves dress up anything!
ReplyDeleteHi, Saraleee
ReplyDeleteAnother consignment shopper. I love when I get money back and have a purchase at the same time. Like getting clothes for free.
The sweater sounds terrific. The tunic length is perfect.
Oooh, I love thrift stores. I go a Harris tweed winter coat once for, like, five bucks!
ReplyDeleteGreat find, Jaymie! Alway fun to poke around in consignment stores. Working there is great, I get first dibs on stuff. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy fiancee and I like to hop in and out of thrift shops to find great deals :) He was so excited when he discovered a Coach purse in our local thrift store for $5 dollars! I still use it, and we rarely walk in there without finding an amazing deal!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a fun post, and for a great giveaway! :)
