from the Ashton Corners Book Club Mysteries
I cannot believe it. In fact, none of us can. The entire Ashton Corners Mystery Readers and Cheese Straws Society if flabbergasted. Our author has let us down. Well, maybe not ‘us’ but certainly the readers of Killer Characters.
She’s been so into that other world she gets into when she’s writing that she totally forgot about today’s Killer Character post! Do you believe it!
I know, we should be very pleased that she’s so into our series, in fact, we’re really excited about the next book, that would be book #3, that’s coming out in August, called Cover Story. I’m sure, given her indiscretion today, that she won’t mind my letting a little bit about the plot slip out.
In Cover Story, we’re all blown away by a new arrival in town, Teensy Coldicutt, who was born and raised in Ashton Corners and then ran off in a modern day love story. Well, she’s back and she’s now an author and her book….well, I can’t give too much away but I think readers will get a real kick out of Teensy. I know, we all love her. And that book. And of course, the murder. Well…August will be here in no time.
Meanwhile, I sure hope we can do something about our own author, Erika Chase. I know she’s working hard on book #4 but really, to forget about giving us our one day each month to shine, the one day we characters can burst out and talk for ourselves and about what’s on our minds…all I can do is shake my head. And maybe give her a good shake, too.

A massage *and* retail therapy.
ReplyI think you should give things (eg. books) away while she's not looking. :-)
ReplyHo-ho...clever, Elaine. Maybe next time. I'm writing it down.
Thanks, Willow -- I love that suggestion!
Reply- a slighly browbeaten Erika
Lol retail therapy is always useful, or you can make her write two posts for next month :) with a great picture of you of course.
ReplyI may choose to do the retail therapy myself and keep her writing. :)
