Chihuahua Chaos to Come

by Lauren Vancouver, pet rescuer, whose adventures are memorialized in the Pet Rescue Mysteries by Linda O. Johnston

You know, for a while I began to think I was through with solving murders.

My most recent was the killing of a not-so-nice person who was involved in the very nice situation of helping to move rescued pets from an area where they couldn't find homes to places where they were more easily adopted.  That was memorialized in the book TEACUP TURBULENCE, by my chronicler Linda O. Johnston.

I'd kind of decided after that to stay out of figuring out who killed people, even if I knew them or the people accused of the murders.

But then--well, a very nice lady with a sad story to tell showed up at HotRescues, the wonderful rescue shelter that I manage.  She was trying to relinquish her own pet, whom she clearly loved, a very cute Chihuahua.  So, I couldn't help it.  I decided to help her after all.  Because, yes, there was a murder involved.

And now the story of what happened is in the process of being chronicled by Linda O. Johnston, too.  It will soon appear as an e-novella on the Amazon website, she tells me.  She has called it CHIHUAHUA CHAOS.

So please watch for CHIHUAHUA CHAOS.  And maybe it will be the last murder that I solve...  What do you think?

Don't forget to enter our Cozy Days of Summer giveaway. Linda is giving away a copy of OODLES OF POODLES or TEACUP TURBULENCE, the two most recent Pet Rescue Mysteries--winner's choice. Leave a comment before midnight tonight for a chance to win. At the stroke of 12:00 the next drawing begins!

TEACUP TURBULENCE, the fifth Pet Rescue Mystery by Linda O. Johnston, was a January 2014 release from Berkley Prime Crime.  And watch for CHIHUAHUA CHAOS, an upcoming e-novella in the series.

  1. I suspect this is far from the last murder you will solve. Sounds like an awesome series.

Thanks, Booklady. And we'll just have to see about those murders...
