Are you ready?
Feet up?
Sunglasses on?
Lemonade in hand?
It’s summertime! And what better way to celebrate than with everyone’s favorite pastime...reading!
To help you along, the folks at Killer Characters are giving away books all month long. My author, Kylie Logan, is joining in the fun.
Kylie wants you to know that my newest adventure, “French Fried” hits store shelves tomorrow, June 6. It’s the second book in the Ethnic Eats mystery series. Yes, I’m still in Hubbard, Ohio, still working at Sophie’s Terminal at the Tracks. But here’s the good news–business is finally turning around thanks to the brainstorm I had of adding ethnic foods to the menu.
This month our speciality is French food in all it’s glory! Think French cooking is fussy? It doesn’t have to be. A pot of cassoulet is the perfect dish to serve your guests out on the patio this summer. And of course, quiche is always in season, and as easy as can be.
So join me in raising a glass of French wine (of course) and toasting all things summertime.
Viva été!
To enter the Killer Characters contest, all you need to do is comment on each day’s post. But please note: author Kylie Logan is meeting with her brainstorming group this week. She will not post a winner until the weekend. Kylie's winner will get a copy of "French Fried."

I raise a glass of wine to Kylie Logan for offering one of her books for this contest. I enjoy summer mainly because I hate the cold of winter. dbahn(at)iw(dot)net

Hi! Oh I would LOVE to read this book! I read the first in this series and it was so good! PLUS, I could not believe that it is in the city of Hubbard, Ohio because I live in Youngstown, only a 20 minute drive from Hubbard! I just found out on Friday that I am in remission for "almost" one full year after 15 years of fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma! I usually read the books and then leave them at my doctor's office for another patient to pick up and enjoy! Thanks for the chance to win! Patty [email protected]

Sorry I haven't had a chance to reply to all your wonderful comments. My last week started with a funeral, ended with a library talk, and there were 4 days of brainstorming out of town in between. I'm finally back at my desk and able to announce that the winner of French Fried is MISH. Your email wasn't included in your post. Send me your address at: [email protected]
ReplyDeleteThank you all!
