Hi, Allie McMurphy here giving a shout out to Mackinac Island. It's the perfect time of year to come up to the Straits of Mackinac and visit our scenic island. Each summer people come from all over the world to enjoy our scenic views of the Straits, and soak in the peaceful existence of another time-viewing the ornate Victorian Cottages and taking a horse drawn carriage ride around the island. I love to bicycle around the island. I have a wicker basket on my handle bars and have been known to stick my puppy, Mal, in the basket and take her for a ride. I would take my new kitty, Mella, if I thought she would let me. I think she prefers to hang out at the McMurphy Hotel and Fudge Shop to traipsing around the island, after all she was a stray who made herself at home.
I'm super excited about the next book in the series, which debuts the end of August 2017. In this story I discover my long lost cousin Victoria, has returned to the island. Tory let's me know she isn't happy with the fact that Papa Liam left the McMurphy to me and not her. I never gave it a second thought. Victoria has her own wine tasting business in California. Why would she want to leave that behind and take over the McMurphy?
Victoria's surprise visit is complicated when we discover a dead woman in the Original Mackinac Island Butterfly House and Insect World. Suddenly all those beautiful blue butterflies take on a sinister meaning as they gather around the dead woman. Troubles get worse when Victoria is arrested for the woman's murder and suddenly there are two McMurphy woman investigating a murder. Now if only we can learn to work together and stay out of each other's way.
