Hey everyone! Kate Davidson here, the yoga teacher/sleuth in Tracy Weber’s Downward Dog Mystery Series. Tracy asked me to stop by to wish her husband, Marc, a happy double-five birthday! Marc never gets enough credit for everything he does to help Tracy with her yoga studio and her writing, so please wish him a day filled with everything he wants.

Which reminds me of my boyfriend, Michael, and the troubles he's facing in Tracy's newest mystery, Pre-Meditated Murder. Michael’s truly a great guy, and although we argue sometimes (what couple doesn’t?) he supports me even when he disagrees with me, and he has put up with more relationship drama from me than most men would ever consider.
Which is why I need to help him now.
Most women would cut bait and run if they found out that their live-in boyfriend was married to someone else, and believe me, I considered it. But in all fairness, Michael tried to get a divorce. In fact, that’s why we’re here in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Michael came back to his hometown to strong-arm Gabriella into finally signing divorce papers.
There's only one problem: Somebody killed Gabriella last night, and the police think it was Michael. Michael didn’t do it. At least I don't think he did ...
Scratch that I know Michael didn’t kill Gabriella. He doesn’t have the capacity for violence, and he still cared about her. But how am I supposed to prove Michael’s innocence when he can’t remember where he was or what he was doing during the time of Gabriella's murder? Michael’s helped me get out of some tough spots before. I can’t leave him now. But I have no idea how to help him.
What would you do?
Give Kate advice by leaving a comment below by Sunday, September 17, and you'll be entered to win an autographed, advanced copy of Pre-Meditated Murder.
Good luck!

I would help investigate, check out friends and see if anyone saw him. Find other suspects. Check the crime scene for clues and the house.

Investigate who else had issues with Gabriella and who might have seen Michael in order to provide him with an alibi. dbahn(at)iw(dot)net
ReplyDeleteI would go with instinct and believe that he is innocent. Then I would do what I do best and investigate. centraleast2 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteYikes! I think I would try to find out who she had problems with. She must have done something really crummy to someone to get herself killed!!
ReplyDelete[email protected]
I would put on my detective cap and start with investigating Gabriella, then go from there. Anything for Michael ~ [email protected]
ReplyDeleteKate, please pass along my birthday wishes to Marc.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I didn't realize Michael was married. I never read the blurbs for your books, I just read the books. Honestly, you're pretty good at asking questions. Sometimes, you go a little too far, but in this case, I say go all out. I would start with talking with the people who knew Gabriella. I'm willing to bet that the person who killed her was someone close, just not Michael. kvmatlock (at) gmail (dot) com
I would look into what Gabriella has been up to since she and Michael parted ways and investigate who had motive. Happy birthday to Mark! Dmskrug3(at)hotmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteCheck Gabriella's friends. Old and new.
ReplyDeletecjreynolds52(at)comcast(dot)net

There are so many more fish in the ocean and most aren't as toxic. Ditch him quick
ReplyDeletejwisley(at)aol(dot)com
I would start by looking into Gabriella's past and recent times to see what I could dig up. Also, try to see if I could find a way to help Michael remember things. mcastor07(at)gmail(dot)com.
ReplyDeleteAsk around find Michael and alibi and find out who else would want to harm Gabriella. mysiqmom(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI especially liked the illustrator of the first bunch of book covers, with those naive but delightful cartoons! So, I think she should look up that cartoonist and have him (or her) draw up all the possible scenarios. Once it is envisioned through cartooning, surely the solution will be found!

ReplyDeleteInformation is key, but who do you trust?
ReplyDeletemarypres(AT)gmail(DOT)com
I Would talk to people and try to track where, what, and when he was -- also would do the same about her -- someone has to have vital information -- [email protected]
ReplyDeleteI would definitely investigate by interviewing people and following the clues. Thanks for the chance. Maceoindo (at) yahoo (dot)com
ReplyDeleteI would become a Detective and talk to the neighbors, other co-workers and anyone involved in his wife's life...
ReplyDeleteMarilyn [email protected]
Start with the victim, always. The more you know about her the better you can investigate.
ReplyDeleteImmediately check out and validate what is true and whom can be relied upon. saubleb(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI love this series and knowing Tracy Weber's style of writing I would say she had Kate and Bella looking high and low for the answers as to actually killed Gabriella. I would pull in all my resources possible to check out every avenue as to who had the accessiblity to do such a horrendous thing. robeader53(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI would meditate about it! bobwiesmann(at)gmail(dot)com.
ReplyDeleteSolve the murder and clear his name is the only thing she can do
ReplyDeletejohnnabooks(at)hotmail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteHe's a great guy. Sleuth! [email protected]
ReplyDeleteI would investigate by talking to people and asking questions.
ReplyDelete[email protected]
I would once again start investigating. See if anyone remembered seeing Michael. Find out more about Gabriella. Her friends, routine, what she was doing beforehand, etc. You never know what you might find.
ReplyDeletePlease wish your husband a happy birthday!! [email protected]
I'd find out who Michael was friends with before he left. Enlist their help to get through unknown waters. Cheers at MarjimManor dot com
ReplyDeleteKeep him calm and allow his memory to return.
ReplyDeleteAnd snoop around, of course!
libbydodd at comcast dot net
I'd recommend hypnosis to see if he can remember where he was and what he did during that time. anajs95 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Marc! I'd see who Gabriella hung out with and if she had problems with some [email protected]
ReplyDeleteStand by him and do what Kate does best, investigate! Then marry the hunk! I can't wait to get my hands on this book! Thank you for the chance to win a signed copy. konecny7(at) gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteFind out who Gabrielle knows. What their relationship is. Who might have a reason to want her gone. Could she have a jealous boyfriend?
ReplyDeleteConnie
cps1950(at)gmail(dot)com
I would want him to have a gunshot residue test (if she was shot). Otherwise, literally walk him through the area, see if anyone remembers seeing him, and ask him questions about the things he sees on the walk vs. what he might remember. (jeaniedannheim (at) ymail (dot) com
ReplyDeleteThanks, all for the great ideas! Kate is on the case!
ReplyDeleteI would help find out as I love to investigate things! [email protected]
ReplyDeleteFind a way to help him.
ReplyDeleteI'd talk to their mutual friends. Everybody loves to gossip after the fact, right? beckythemom(at)hotmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteHypnosis to get to the truth and then find out who will gain from Gabriella's death.
ReplyDeleteTime to investigate. Who did Gabriella know that was in the vicinity at the time of her murder? Who had a motive? Where were all the suspects at the time of her death? Any forensics that could be gathered or followed up on? Make a list or a chart showing everyone that is a suspect and then start to cross people off after interviewing them or people around them. Talk to everyone that was in the area at the time of the murder.
ReplyDeleteJust a few suggestions.
scarletbegonia5858(at)gmail(dot)com
This is my comment. What can I say. I've been a fan since before you were published.
ReplyDeleteIf no one can serve as an alibi, Michael should go to a hypnotist so that he/she can help him remember the events of the night Gabriella was killed. Hopefully, retracing his steps will prove his innocence! :-)
ReplyDelete[email protected]
I would be completely skeptical of his innocence!! If he hid the fact that he was married, then what else is he hiding?!?!
ReplyDeletejuly507 at yahoo.com
I would look into Gabriella's past and also what each of them was doing that night and go from there. I'd definitely try to help my friend.
