To go perfectly with that coffee, you ought to make one of my favorites - PUMPKIN CRUNCH. Consider this recipe another giveaway from Hitchcock and me to y'all.
PUMPKIN CRUNCH
1 Package Yellow Cake Mix
1 (16-oz) Can Pumpkin
1 (12-oz) Can Evaporated Milk
3 Eggs
1-1/2 Cup Sugar
4 Teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Chopped Pecans
1 Cup Melted Butter
Whipped Topping
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom of a 9x13 inch pan. Combine pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, pumpkin pie spice and salt in large bowl. Pour into pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over pumpkin mixture. Top with pecans. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until golden. Cool completely. Serve with whipped topping.

I wanted to go to Salem, Massachusetts this year for Halloween and then I talked to someone who did and she said the Crowds were horrible. I am still wanting to go though..

ReplyI do not generally dress up so no favorite costume. My favorite Halloween candy is the pumpkins that come in the Autumn mix with the candy corn unless they sell them in their own bag which they do ever so often. My actual plans are trick-or-treating with my kids. jelrobb(at)gmail(dot)com

ReplyMy friend and I dress as hobo's once with black wigs on too, we even had the police officer called on us he came out to see why we were hanging around by a house on the corner of the street, he then knew it was us and laugh, he even gave us a ride home that night since my friend's Mom forgot to pick us up, We had fun. The best halloween outfit included my goldendoodle, Snickers. Mosquito Lake Dog Park in Ohio hosted Howl-O-Ween. I went as the "Paw-parazzi" & Snickers was Katy Perry. I made the costumes, & yes Snicky was wearing sunglasses, blue wig, daisy dukes, cupcake bikini on top!! Did you know that you tube has videos on how to make fake cupcakes?! Lol

My favorite candy at Halloween is anything in the big mix M&M candy bags for $13.00 at the supermarkets. We'll be staying home to hand out candy to all the cute kids and the brave teens that knock on our door.

ReplyOne of the funniest costumes I had as a kid was a hotdog. It was a bought suit but you have to wonder what they were thinking to make it or me for wanting it. LOL Favorite Halloween candy is the Mary Jane peanut butter kisses. I think that's because it use to be something you could only find during the Halloween season and I love taffy. This Halloween we plan on decorating and enjoying the kiddos that come trick or treating. We recently moved so we will have a whole new set of kids to see and enjoy this year.

I was a hershy's kiss. My close friend was very creative in the costume department, she did costumes when I had a community theater many years ago, so she made me a Kiss! My favorite candy for halloween are kit kats! Love them. Usually for Halloween, we go up north to be with 4/6 of our grandchildren and go trick or treating with them while my husband makes movies and incorporates them in his movies! Merry

When I was in first grade my mother made me a bride's gown with veil and bouquet. She went to a garage sale where she found the gown and cut it down to fit me. My bouquet was roses from her garden. It will always be a fond memory for me. robeader53(at)yahoo(dot)com

ReplyFor Samhain this year, I will probably spend some time honoring my ancestors and then handing out candy to the kids that come to my home trick or treating. We decorate the outside of our house and it's pretty popular with the neighborhood.
