Hi, Savannah here. My hometown, St. Petersburg will be hosting Bouchercon 2018 from September 6-9. This world-famous mystery convention is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization which holds an annual convention in honor of Anthony Boucher, the distinguished mystery fiction critic, editor and author. It is the premier annual event for readers, authors, and all lovers of crime fiction.
Most of the action will be at the gorgeous Vinoy Renaissance Resort. The conference organizers are expecting around 1600 attendees who will be experiencing the charm of our city eateries, museums, art galleries, boutiques, bars, and breweries.
Out of town friends of mine are attending and they enjoy a good value when it comes to Happy Hour in the Sunshine City. Here's a list of those that are close to The Vinoy.

A Mediterranean cruise gives glass shop owner Savannah Webb a chance to demonstrate her expertise--and fire up her skills when it comes to foul play.
When Savannah signs on to perform glass blowing on a cruise ship, part of the appeal is that she'll get to meet her boyfriend Edward's family in England. As an added bonus, Edward's cousin, Ian, will be joining them on board. But when Ian disappears at the beginning of the cruise, the ship's authorities initially consider it suicide.

Cheryl Hollon writes full time after she left an engineering career designing and building military flight simulators in amazing countries such as England, Wales, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan and India. Fulfilling the dream of a lifetime, she combines writing with a passion for creating glass art. In the glass studio behind the house, Cheryl and her husband George design, create, and produce fused glass, stained glass and painted glass artworks.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to be attending Bouchercon 2018 this year. We live about an hour or so from there and will be staying in an RV park so we don't have to keep going back and forth. I hope the hubster brings his wallet. LOL He is building me a bookcase now to match our bedroom set. One time we were visiting Vermont and we went into this glass shop and they also did glass blowing, it is very fascination but I can't imagin it on a cruise ship and yet I've been cruising quite a few times.
