I hate to mention this but I’m going to anyway. Summer is almost over. It’s true. Kids will be heading back to school soon and if you live in a really touristy area, that means families will be heading home soon.
I don’t live in a tourist area although we do get out-of-towners enjoying the charming stores and walkable waterfront of Champlain Lake. And, I don’t have any kids so I don’t have to get in a frenzy about school supplies and clothes.
What I do have is a lot of clients who want my event planning skills to focus on such things as office Christmas parties and massive family gatherings, once the weather starts to turn. I know, I mentioned the C-word!
But for today, I started with a latte from my second fave spot, Rocco G’s, a block from the bay. And then I took a long walk along the beach, sipping and enjoying the early morning before all the action and noise descends. Time to get to work, though.
What’s your favorite spot for unwinding? Beach, hammock, boat, bed????
I hope you’ll leave an answer because I’ll be choosing a winner of a signed copy of MARINATING IN MURDER, the third book in the Dinner Club Mysteries, by my author Linda Wiken. Actually, she’ll be making the draw, on Wed., Aug. 8th at 9 PM EDT.
