Hi all and happy Adopt a Cat Month!
This is my favorite month, because rescue kitties like me get to go to great new homes. Well, I wasn’t rescued, exactly. More like cat napped. I used to live as a feral kitten in Cannon Beach, Oregon. I was cold and hungry sometimes, but I didn’t like people very much. My first owner trapped me and then she …
Well, if you want to know that part of my story, you’ll have to read my first adventure Pre-Meditated Murder.
I’d barely gotten used to my first indoor home when something bad happened, and Kate trapped me again! Now I live with Kate, Michael, and my dog-slave, Bella. I adore Bella. She keeps me warm, guards me from potential cat nappers, and cleans me with her huge, sandpaper tongue. She even lets me eat out of her dog dish sometimes! Kate and Michael, well, I might like them, too, if they didn’t try to touch me all the time. Sometimes I have to remind them—with my claws of course—that the last two times people touched me, I was stolen from my home. If they think I’m going to let that happen again, they’re wrong! Bella and I belong together. There’s no way I’ll go back to living on the streets.
Which makes me feel sad for all the other kitties out there who haven’t found their forever Bellas yet. Won’t you take a chance and bring one into your home? I’d ask Kate, but I don’t want to share Bella, so it’ll have to be you.
Either way, I hope you read and enjoy my two mysteries, Pre-Meditated Murder and Murder Likes It Hot. I may not get out of the house anymore, but I still have important roles in both of them!
