by Carrie Kennersly, veterinary technician and owner of an adjoining barkery and bakery, whose adventures are memorialized in the Barkery & Biscuits Mysteries by Linda O. Johnston
Yes, as they say, time marches on. And there was another murder in Knobcone Heights since the last time I posted here.
And, yes, I helped to solve it--the fifth time I've done such a thing. The book about what happened, FOR A GOOD PAWS, was published in May. It partly involved the murder of the Knobcone Heights mayor long before I moved here... and what happened more recently that seemed related.
Meanwhile, I've still been enjoying running my two shops, Barkery and Biscuits, where I sell the healthy dog treats I've developed, and Icing on the Cake, where I sell my regular sweet human treats. It's so much fun to own them! But I still also enjoy being a part time veterinary technician.
And know what? I've gotten the sense that my mystery solving days may be drawing to a close. I hope so. I want to spend more time with my dear dog Biscuit. Even more... well, my relationship with Dr. Reed Storme, a wonderful veterinarian who works at the Knobcone Veterinary Clinic where I also do my vet tech work, seems to be going quite well.
I'll just have to see what happens in the future. But for now I believe my life is enjoyable and is likely to get even better.
FOR A GOOD PAWS, the fifth Barkery & Biscuits Mystery by Linda O. Johnston, was a May 2019 release.
