Hi, it's Biscuit again. Not sure I need to introduce myself. I've barked here lots before. I'm a dog--what people call a poodle-terrier mix--and I supposedly belong to Carrie Kennersly, the human who's the subject of the Barkery & Biscuits Mysteries, but as I say often, in my opinion she belongs to me.
After all, she takes care of me--as I also take care of her. She feeds me. Even came up with some really delicious treats she says are healthy as she worked as a veterinary technician at the Knobcone Veterinary Clinic. Of course she let me taste them, try them out. And since I liked them, she wound opening a shop in Knobcone Heights where we live--Barkery and Biscuits--where she sells the delicious doggy treats she created.
And, oh yes, she also opened one next door, Icing on the Cake, where she sells treats that people like. Even though it's popular, I doubt the stuff there is as good as the things she sells in the Barkery. She even lets me hang out in the Barkery meeting people with their pets--and, yes, tasting more treats.
The thing is, I worry about her. She started a while back to solve murders of people in Knobcone Heights. That's put her in danger a lot. Fortunately, I don't think she's got her nose into sniffing out another killer, but I'm never sure...
Anyway, the last time she did so, her investigation was reported in a book called For a Good Paws. As I've said before, since I consider my own paws good, I like that title. But I've liked the titles of the other books, too, that reported her solving more murders: Bite the Biscuit, To Catch a Treat, Bad to the Bone, and Pick and Chews.
And will Carrie solve any more murders after this? It's okay with me, as long as she stays safe, and I'll always be here for her. But we'll see...
