Hey y'all, Vanessa Fleer here, Maggie's best friend. Well, she thinks we're enemies but she's about to find out how wrong she is when I ask her to be my Maid of Honor at my wedding to Police Chief Rufus Durand! Who's also her enemy. Life in a small town can sure be complicated.

When it comes to a wedding, my take on it is go big or go home. And I am going waaaay big. Which means there is a LOT for Maggie to do. I just gave her a list that goes on for a coupla pages. Is she crying? Nah, must've gotten something in her eye.

I pretty much invited the world to our wedding, figuring about half of 'em wouldn't come but an invite would guilt them into sending gifts. (Don't look at me like that. We've all done it and you know it.) Only thing is, my cousin Ginger decided to come. And that is a BIG uh-oh. She is SO not a nice person. Between us, she kinda scares me. I better add that to Maggie's list: Keep an Eye Out for Ginger.

Okie dokie, back to planning. I decided on my wedding colors - purple and gold, LSU's colors. Okay, I didn't go there BUT I did sneak into plenty of frat parties, so in my book, that counts. Geaux, Tigers!

Readers, what color combination would you choose for a big party? Enter to win either a Kindle copy of BODY ON THE BAYOU, the award-winning second book in the Cajun Country Mystery series or some fun swag!

  1. I'd have a party with a patriotic theme so I'd pick red, white and blue for the colors. I'd love to win the fun swag as I don't have a Kindle. dbahn(at)iw(dot)net
