From Sparkle Abbey's Pampered Pets Mystery Series
Well, I don’t know about you, but I’ve been in my feels the past couple of months. Due to our “new normal for now,” it’s been very different here in our oceanside town. Normally, we’re ramping up for a crash of tourists, but it’s been very quiet. With the beaches closed surfers are MIA, sun worshipers are lounging in their backyards, and beachcombers have turned their attention to digging for lost treasure in their garages. Laguna has felt like a ghost town. Even crime has taken a nosedive. I guess that’s good news, right?
With all this extra time on my hands I’ve been spending my time just like the rest of you—baking bread and drinking wine. I won’t be hailed as a baking guru anytime soon, but I could hold a masterclass for drinking wine! I’ve discovered a number of lovely clean wines (all-natural and additive-free) during lockdown that I’m super excited to share with my friends in person once our lockdown is over.

My hidden talent is taking care of my two young grandsons everyday for 8 hours a day since March 10 and will continue through the summer as well. This is a privilege and I treasure every minute with these wonderful boys. I hope that they will remember all these precious days which are memorable. elliotbencan(at)hotmail(dot)com
ReplyI was working full time but my job ended so I am home with my two girls who keep me very busy with our daily schedule of schoolwork, creative activities, baking muffins and cookies, and being active in the backyard. I'm still working at a nursing home so I haven't had a chance to find out if I have a hidden talent. If I had the time I would at least clean up my dad's old air hockey table and see if it still works after being stored at my grandparents' for umpteen years. And get some books read and crocheting done.
