Mocha and Murder and a Giveaway!

Hi! I'm Pepper. I'm a Schnauzer and I love to eat Pup-sicles. Be sure to scroll down to the end of the post and grab a fantastic recipe not only fur babies love, but humans too!

But someone I love is in trouble. A lot of someones I love are in trouble. My human friend who saved my life, Louise Carlton, is in trouble. Big trouble.

Louise and another human who came to Pet Palace, the local no-kill SPCA that Louise owns, had a big falling out. I didn't hear about it, but Tank the Chihuahua said that he heard it all from his Pet Palace kennel.
That other person who Louise had a fallin' out with...dead. As in not breathing. Not good.
If she goes to jail, what does that mean for all my fur friends that I love? It means that they won't have a human Louise to care for them and love them. It also means that they will be taken to one of those shelters, you know the ones. The bad ones that only like to keep you up for adoption for a few years...then the end.
I did overhear my new human owner, Roxy Bloom, talking to Louise over a cup of coffee from The Bean Hive Coffeehouse. She told Louise that she's going to help find out who's framing Louise.
I sure hope so.

  6. I have 2 fur babies, a female cat that has 6 toes on all of her feet. Her name is Belle and will soon be 12 and she is very sweet. Then I have a male black cat named Barnabas who we adopted in Salem, MA and he has fangs that hang out of his mouth all the time. He drove us crazy last night wanting to go out. We make him wait til it gets light out and he doesn't like to wait. pgenest57 (at) aol (dot) com

  • I have several furbabies! Kensi, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and three cats: Dickens,Jazzy, and Joe Gray. I love day mysteries, especially those with cats and/or dogs as characters.

I have several furbabies...I have an albino guinea pig named Snowball, and 8 black cats. Midnight is a longhair with green eyes, and Lucky is a short hair with yellow eyes, and they're the parents of the other six, all short haired like Mom, some with yellow eyes and some with green. They just turned a year old in March, and they're all spoiled rotten babies (I wonder how that happened :P). Five of the six finally have names (kinda hard when they all look alike and act alike to come up with names that fit their personalities). Pain In The Butt #s 1-6, while tempting, don't really make good names. :P

My favorite mysteries with animals are Lilian Jackson Braun's Cat Who mysteries, Rita Mae & Sneaky Pie Brown's Mrs. Murphy mysteries, Tonya Kappes' Magical Cures mysteries (of course!) and Carol Nelson Douglas' Midnight Louie mysteries. Can you tell I like mysteries with cats in them? :D Although I love dogs too, I haven't found very many mystery series with dogs as the main characters, other than maybe the Mrs. Murphy mysteries, where the dog is at least an important secondary character. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places...

  • We "only" have 4 cats now. We lost our 15 and 17 year old cats. 3 of our cats were abandoned when our neighbors moved. My 15 year old brought me the kittens and they've been here ever since. cheers at MarjimManor dot com

  • We are owned by two cats. Romeo Luigi is a black cat with Siamese traits and Ralphie Lee is a long haired orange marmalade. We are also fostering a family outside. Mama and her litter of seven babies ranging from and orange one to a cream with Siamese markings, both have long hair. There are a couple of tabby babies, a long haired black one and a gray kitten too. If I could I would bring them all in to our home but my daughter has allergies and is just tolerating the two we have. robeader53(at)yahoo(dot)com
